The experience
The workshop takes place at I.F.S.E, the only cooking academy recognized as Italian Excellence by the General Secretariat of the Republic.
IFSE has created specific modules aimed at roots travelers and here you can learn the tools for the preparation of a complete typical Piedmontese meal, from appetizer to dessert and the knowledge and pairing of Italian wines and oils.
You can choose one of the three proposals, or combine them in order to dedicate a day or two to acquiring fundamental knowledge about recipes, extra virgin olive oil and Piedmontese wines.
The three modules are organized as follows:
Cooking class including: interactive demo of preparation of typical Piedmontese 4-course menu. Lunch included.
Pastry course including: interactive demo of the preparation of hazelnut cake with IGP hazelnuts and gianduiotti
Sommelier course with 3 different options:
– vertical tasting of Barolo wine and food pairing
– tasting of Vermuth and Barolo Chinato with chocolate pairing
– tasting to rediscover flavors with extra virgin olive oils in combination with food
At the end of the workshop you will receive a certificate of participation.

How to get there
The IFSE headquarters can be reached in the following ways:
Highways:
- From Turin: Take the A55 motorway towards Pinerolo and exit at Candiolo. Follow the signs to Piobesi Torinese and then to Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
- From Pinerolo: Take the A55 motorway towards Turin and exit at Candiolo. Follow the signs to Piobesi Torinese and then to Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
Bus:
- You can take line 45 of GTT’s suburban service from Turin (Porta Nuova terminal) or Pinerolo. The closest stop to IFSE is on Via Torino.
Train:
- The nearest railway station is Candiolo, on the Turin-Pinerolo line. From Candiolo you can reach IFSE by taxi or by bus line 45 of the GTT suburban service.
