Magazine #15
Magazine #15
The 15th issue of the magazine dedicated to Roots Tourism is now online.
Part of the Farnesina’s project under Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), the monthly publication is available for free in digital format in Italian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Each edition includes travel stories, practical tips, and suggestions for those planning a return to their ancestral places.
In this new edition, discover suggested itineraries in Cividale del Friuli (Friuli Venezia Giulia), Ricadi (Calabria), and Bobbio (Emilia Romagna).
Highlights include the national preview of two productions from Radici in Viaggio: the immersive installation S’amuJamu and the docufilm Verbo Andare.
Also featured is Italea’s participation in the Accademia Marchigiani in Italia e nel Mondo Awards ceremony, and a recap of Radici in Eleganza—an event held in Atina (Lazio) celebrating Italian roots through style and heritage.
The magazine also introduces Welcome Home in Sannio, a three-day event supported by Italea, taking place in Guardia Sanframondi from August 6 to 8.
Don’t miss the interview with singer-songwriter Simona Salis, who draws on her Sardinian heritage by blending Campidanese dialect with English, French, and Spanish in her latest album—a tribute to identity and the journey.
Other stories include the unveiling of the first “talking plaque” from the Civico delle Radici project, now on display in Sestri Levante, and the presentation of Sconfinamenti, a collection of stories inspired by the Italia Radici nel Mondo literary award, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the John Fante Festival.
Finally, the issue rounds off with a selection of experiences for root travelers across Italy—from discovering medicinal plants in Aosta to learning the art of stone carving in Puglia.
