"Roots Speak": a creative writing workshop

The experience

At the conclusion of your roots itinerary, take part in the “Roots Speak” activity: a workshop on writing and theatrical practices to better understand the experiences and the moments you lived during your journey in Aosta Valley. Through practices of self-narration and listening to the body, travelers of the roots will be able to create an experiential diary in which the stages of the journey are collected, but also the discoveries, emotions, and desires that emerged from this visit. A diary that will be a repository of historically relevant information, but also of all those notes, drawings, meaningful phrases that characterized the journey. The roots speak, and we are listening.

The workshop is led by Aosta Valley artists from the Palinodie theatrical company, who work daily in dialogue between innovation and tradition, ancient legacies and future perspectives. This free and conscious gaze will be the defining feature of the activity: together we will find a way to ferry the sea of emotions experienced into a new form that can fit in your suitcase of memories and be an integral part of your present when you return home.
